The GTC/GGC Criminal Justice Agreement is intended for students and aims to minimize the loss of credits and dual courses when a student moves from CGVs to GGC to obtain a bachelor`s degree in criminal justice. This agreement allows Gwinnett Technical College students to continue their training beyond the associate level and obtain a four-year degree at Georgia Gwinnett. The agreement will enter into force in the fall of 2020. Information on requirements, transmission and authorisation procedures is published in ggc.edu and gwinnetttech.edu. In addition to articulation agreements with Georgia Gwinnett College, Gwinnett Technical College offers students transfer contracts with these institutions: Gwinnett Tech also has local articulation agreements with the colleges listed below. The President of Gwinnett Technical College (GTC), Dr. D. Glen Cannon, and the President of Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC), Dr. Stanley C. Stas Preczewski, today celebrated the signing of an articulation agreement that will benefit many students in our community. This special agreement focuses on students seeking a bachelor`s degree in criminal justice. The simplest explanation is that an articulation agreement is a binding agreement between two institutions that guarantees a successful transfer to the institution of four years. The agreements define the courses and grades that will be transferred to the four-year institution to ensure that students can better plan their training work to meet their future educational programs.
Most of our articulation agreements guarantee students direct admission to the higher education institutions/universities listed below, provided the student has obtained the Associate Arts Diploma (AA) or Associate Science Diploma (AS) at the GMC. Any student who wishes to request a reassessment of an electoral transfer credit should submit the following points to email@example.com: Learn more about transferring credits from Georgia Military College or contact your academic advisor. You work hard for your course credits, and should be able to take them with you wherever you go! Thanks to articulation agreements between the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), the Georgia University System (USG), the Georgia Independent College Association (GICA) and the following colleges, you can transfer well-written credits between SACS-COC accredited schools. This is not the first time that the two institutions have come together to improve educational opportunities. GGC and Gwinnett Tech created a similar partnership in 2015 in which criminal law students who graduated from Gwinnett Tech were able to transfer their credits to GGC to obtain a bachelor`s degree in criminal justice/criminology. In 2011, GGC and Gwinnett Tech entered into a course replay agreement in which some Gwinnett Tech courses are easily transferred to GGC. Let`s set up a scenario in which your goal is to get admission to a four-year institution to get your licence; However, you were not accepted into your program because you did not meet the minimum licensing standards. As an alternative, you can visit one of our many campuses or online programs for your first two years of study (at a significantly reduced price!) and then move on to the four-year facility of your choice as a junior to complete your studies. Our articulation agreements ensure that most, if not all, of your GMC courses will be transferred smoothly to the next institution and will be charged on obtaining your license. You can see that this is a great way to get your bachelor`s degree.
Jann L. Joseph, President of the GGC, and Gwinnett Technical College, President Dr. D. Glen Cannon sign an articulation agreement. They are T.J. Arant, senior vice president of university and student affairs and provost GGC, and Rebecca Alexander, vice president of Gwinnett Technical College for academic affairs.
